Midland Heart implements Consilium Solutions

Housing and care group, Midland Heart are implementing  an integrated Maintenance and Scheduling system consisting of TotalMobile™, TotalRepairs™, TotalView™ and E-Traders™ solutions from Consilium in partnership with Xmbrace (Optitime) and Matrix Telematics (Vehicle Tracking). The solutions will help a newly created In House Maintenance Team (IMHT) provide an efficient and high quality service to their customers. The 5 year, £485,605 contract was awarded to the Consilium consortium in competition with a number of other solution providers.

The integrated solution will offer an efficient way of working, from Midland Heart’s customer service centre right through to service delivery and the electronic payment of invoices. The TotalMobile™ system will provide enhanced job progression, monitoring and costing as well as enhanced communication with the customer via text messaging prior to the customer appointment. E-Trading™ will enable the tradesperson to order materials to be delivered whilst they are on site.

Information collated in TotalView™ will provide a dashboard to allow managers to closely monitor day to day operations and to investigate any problems that may arise.

Richard Bott, IHMT Project Manager at Midland Heart said “The procurement for the software solution for Midland Heart’s new In House Maintenance Team was performed in accordance with the OJEU rules and procedures.

“The Consilium response was comprehensive and scored highly in all qualitative and quantitative sections of our invitation to tender. The presentations and demonstrations were informative and professional and the proposed solution and associated methodologies scored highly. It was evident that Consilium were focused on meeting our specific requirements.

“I am confident that we shall have a successful software implementation as an integral part of the mobilisation of the new team and look forward to a good working partnership between Midland Heart and Consilium.”
